At Adventure Dental and Orthodontics, we specialize in full-service dental care for children in a caring, child-friendly environment. Our mission is to help children learn to be motivated to take pride in their teeth and oral health so they can maintain it for a lifetime. Good oral health begins with proper nutrition, regular brushing and flossing, as well as timely clinical exams and cleanings. As experienced pediatric dentists, we know our young patients have unique dental needs, and we focus on preventative care so children can have a healthy smile that lasts a lifetime.
Our team takes extra steps to ensure that every patient feels comfortable in our office, because we want them to have a positive attitude about visiting the dentist’s office and put an end to dental anxiety before it can even start. As compassionate pediatric dentists, we always strive to help children and their parents identify ways in which they can make caring for their teeth fun and effective.
Children have unique oral health and hygiene needs. At Adventure Dental and Orthodontics, we believe it’s important to teach children that the dentist’s office is not a place to be feared. Because general dentists usually don’t work on nearly as many child patients, they are not as well-equipped to handle their unique needs as a specialist. Our pediatric dentists work with children every day, including children with special needs, with focused, attentive care.
Adventure Dental and Orthodontics is proud to provide:
Your child’s oral hygiene is a large indicator of his/her overall health, and working with a trained pediatric dentist in Santa Clarita & Palmdale can make all the difference in your child’s smile. Whether it’s their first dental appointment or they’re experiencing a pressing issue with their teeth, we’re confident in our ability to find the appropriate treatment and solution for you.
Two of the best treatments we offer are prevention and education. We help parents learn how to care for their child’s mouth as early as when their first tooth erupts, which is the recommended time you should schedule his or her first dental appointment. At this very young age, your baby will sit on your lap during their first exam, and our pediatric dentist will check your child’s mouth and review how to care for the new teeth and learn techniques to stop any harmful habits, such as drinking a baby bottle in bed or thumb sucking.
Here are some of our pre-planning tips before you bring your child to the dentist:
During your child’s dental exam, we will take any necessary X-rays, clean your child’s teeth, evaluate their teeth, gums, and bite, and assess their oral health, and make suggestions about nutrition. We can help teach parents and their children how they should be flossing once a day and brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste and child-sized toothbrush. Our goal is to help your child achieve and maintain a healthy smile that will last a lifetime.
